Calvin Kidd, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Calvin Kidd was born and raised on a Hereford beef farm in middle Tennessee.  He attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he received a B.S. in Biology in 2017.  Then, in 2021, he graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine with high honors.

Dr. Kidd practices both small and large animal medicine.  His interests in small animal medicine are in internal medicine and soft tissue surgery, with special interests in chronic disease management, ultrasonography, clinical pathology, cardiology, and endocrinology.  His interests in large animal medicine are centered on herd health management, reproduction, and equine dentistry.

Dr. Kidd lives in Knoxville with his wife and their three dogs Arthur (beagle), Annabell (corgi), and Wally (shih tzu).  He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending his time away from the clinic exploring the wonderful forests and rivers of east Tennessee while camping, hiking, and kayaking.

Dr. Kidd became a veterinarian with the ambition to improve the quality of life for his patients, and the human-animal bond for his clients.  He makes it a goal to achieve this every day.
